What genre will the next Sonic The Hedgehog game be?
Remember the newest Sonic The Hedgehog game, Sonic Frontiers? Well, I got a story for you! About how and why this is the first Sonic game to be an RPG...
Sonic Frontiers. Why is it an RPG? Why is "most" of the Nintendo Switch games RPG? Well, remember wayyyy back when Sega partnered up with other companys? Well, it might be hard to believe, but, Nintendo might be slowy taking over Sonic The Hedgehog. Why am I so sure? Pokémon Violet and Scarlet, Pokémon Legends Arceus, Pokémon Sword and Shield, Super Mario Odyssey, and Sonic Frontiers all have one thing in common... They are free scrollers or RPGs. RPG stands for Role-play game. It has turned into, what I call a genre of games where you can go anywhere. It isn't like the classic games when you can only go one way, that way is foward. Now you can go back and back track. OR go to the side like right or left. And I guess free scrollers are the same thing. Most of the games owned or produced by Nintendo are now RPGs. New style of gaming, maybe. But for now, The next genre for the next Sonic game will be 50% out of 100, be a RPG.
